i've done a few interlaced rips with gordian knot the guide for it is on gknot.doom9.org just follow the steps it gives you and when you go to encode it click on fast deinterlace or feild deinterlace. worked for me.

actually it was the my brain is getting interlaced!!! thread that that was meant for. double oops :)
