View Full Version : Are there movies that just can't be encoded at all ?

Hi there,

So far, I did around 70 DVD rips. (All PAL Source) Now I did "Forrest Gump" PAL DVD, too. But I du get a CCE Crash at 13% (4 Path Encoding) all the time. I did try all the recommendations in the official FAQ and searched the forum. But the movie still crashes at 13%. I never had any problems with any other movie before and do not have a clue what I do wrong or miss. If it helps, I can post the logfile, too. But it does not give any hintful information. Maybe somebody did try encoding the same movie ?

Thanks

Christian

I did it witout any problems. Maybe your disk is scratched?

All the reasons for CCE crashing are unknown and sometimes one movie seems to be harder for some people then others.

Try a different version of CCE. If you are using 2.5, try 2.62.
Try using Safe mode regardless of what version you are using.

Lastly switch to TMPG for these troublesome movies.

Mark's advice about having TMPGenc and CCE ready to go are right on. Be ready to switch between the two depending on whichever one gives you the best results. If one fails, try the other.

Hi,

Just I thought, but have you made sure that you have enough space on your hard drive? I had a similar problem till someone pointed out that I only had about 600 MB of space left on the H.D.

Just a thought
