When Iīm importing a ...m2v file in these programs I get always the same error:
"Sequence end header not found..." and then "the file is too big..."
What does this mean ? B.t.w. audio files are imported correctly...
The old Spruceup V.1.1 takes these files without any problems ?!
Would be very glad to receive any hints !!!

Iīm recording with a Hauppauge WinTV DVBs and WinDVBlive 1.4.06 software in pva format. Then I demux it with PVAStrumento 2.0.23 in two files:
mpv and a mpv file.
The mpv (720x576 Pal) is rejected and the mpa one is accepted.
I donīt know if this forum is the right one for me ? I saw people here are authoring from original dvdīs...

ahh, i see where the problem is then

seems that the file you 'captured' off digital tv isnt conforming to dvd spec.

before you reencode, open up the m2v in bitrate viewer, altho you'll need the full version to see GOP structure.

if anyone is familiar with digital tv GOP/stream spec, they'd be a big help right about now ;)

Hy!
I used a Snazzi III av/dv to capture from various alanog sources, it has a dvd compatible capture feature, but only works correctly with maestro if gop set to 12, default is 15, so auenf is right I think. You must reencode your mpv to 12 gops.

Thanks a lot for your answers, Iīll give this a try...
but I donīt know exactly where in Temgenc Iīve to do these changes...
Is it in the GOP structure and there in " Max number of frames in a GOP" ???

Hy!
The gop settings in tmpgenc:
click on setting (right bottom corner), then gop structure.
Make it so that: IBBPBBPBBPBB
I=1, P=3, B=2
That's it for other settings you should follow the guides, because I don't use tmpgenc.
Good Luck

Thanks a lot for your tips !!! Iīll try it !
Another question:
Today I recorded a 16x9 film (702x576) with ac3 sound (fileextension: mpg), I demuxed it with tempgenc and got 2 files (mv2 and ac3).
Burnt it with the good old SpruceUp and it goes perfect on my Sony 4x3 TV, because there, I can switch to 16x9 (ok with black borders...but the proportions are allright).
But on my beamer I havenīt such a switcher, it is a 4x3 one. And on this the movieīs proportion are not ok, so I guess I have to do something with my film-file, but I donīt know what...???
Would it be a good idea to reencode with tempgenc (only the mv2 file of course)to get a correct 4x3 resolution (I do 448x432 for SVCD in the clip frame section).
Would be glad to get the right data...
