Hi,

:(
I have the soft "sonic Foundry soft encode " to generate dd wav and after i burn these files on a CD-R to playback on my DVD Player connected to my home video receiver (DD/DTS).
So thera are some ways to do this.
1- With soft encode i generate DD WAV with 6 mono wav.
--> when i play the CD-R on my DVD player(pioneer DVD444) --> NO SOUND . My receiver stay in Dolby surround mode and don't go in Dolby Digital mode ( DENON AVR 1800).
2- When i donwload DD wav from Internet the result is the same : NO SOUND
3- When i donwload DTS wav from Internet the result is good.( DTS wAV generate with SURCODE DTS)

What is the problem.
Can we add a flag to the DD wav to tell the receiver to go to DD mode.
Can we modify the soft encode parameters to generate a good DD WAV that tell the receiver to go to DD mode ??

Help !!
Thank you

Toubib

Hi toubib,

did you ever try BeSure and BeSweet to encode your DD wav files? You can download both from DSPGuru's site. I got good results using the AC3 encoding abilities of this app.

Your reciever is probably incompatible... I have the same problem. Not all recievers can play back DD cds.
