I understand the Aspect Ratio bit of this. But what is ment by the static information, stating to put the screen into letterbox.
My Samsung & Wharfdale DVD players both adopt the letterbox, instead of telling my TV to use widescreen. Why is this?
On the otherhand WinDVD changes to window into widescreen.
Also does the shrinking letter boxing of the screen reduce the quality of the picture, as I have to select Zoom 1 to get widescreen.
