Greetings,
I have read a few posts about this model player should support removable subs from home encoded SVCDs, but doesn't appear too. Well, surprise surprise, my attempts (created w/DVD2SVCD and VCDEasy) did not provide me with any subs at all unless I did the encoding w/permanents subs.

I was wondering if any one has any insights on getting these subs with a difficult stand alone.

Thanks

i would go to vcdhelp.com and check out what type of subs your DVD Player supports.. because there are two standards SVCD and CVD subs. To get CVD subs you have to use I-Author i belive and VCDXBuild using the SVCD method. you can also download test files from vcdimager.org i belive. here is the link
http://www.vcdimager.org/pub/vcdimager/examples/test_svcd/

i think those are SVCD subs also.

Yes my plaeyer will play CVDs selectable subs. Do I really need I Author to create them? If that is the case, then I am out of luck becaue I have not been able to find a copy of it.
Thanks for the links.

You can use SubMux - it'll mux the subs CVD-style as well... Look in DVD2SVCD package

Do you mean use SUbMux instead of WinSubMux for CVD subs?

ENcoding a test file right now with DVD2SVCD using CVD subs. I will try SubMux also.

Just did a test file w/CVD switchable subs using D2S sub mux, no luck.

Any other suggestions?
