Hi, I am encoding a Gundam Wing episode and I first of all ripped the vobs, then loaded the vobs and ifo file into subrip 0.97b and typed all the words and stuff for it, then I converted it to a .ssa file to use with the subtitle filter in Nandub but when I take a look at the .ssa file in notepad it says that the subs won't even start until like 20 secs after the ep ends... I am pretty sure there is a way to adjust this but I don't know where to look. Also when I looked at the .srt file in notepad it was the same and almost every single word in the file wasn't spaced so theywereputtogetherlikethis... and I had to redo them. So thats my probs, if anyone knows whats up please let me know.

Thanks,

Nealhon

why they are off is because you ripped a middle episode and the subs are actually starting where they would if you had ripped the episode before the one you ripped.. So basically you have to subtract the time of the first episode on the disc from the one you are working on. Also if you download http://vobsub.edensrising.com and use SubResync in it you can modify the time of the ssa file. You can also use TextSub that is installed with Vobsub to do ssa files in avisynth if you want that approach instead of using the native Nandub filter but that is OT..

And the spacing is you need to adjust the space detection of your subrip to make it detect spaces better. its in the options somewhere. And if you want download the dvd2avi in this thread

which will make it easier for you to find the proper time to subtract from the sub files. basically just open the vob files then go view statistics and just scroll a bit and then go back to the start and it will display the time of the vobs down to miliseconds just subtract this time from your subs. hopefully this helps.
