Hi,
I've searched the forums and would like to know how to join the extra features on several DVD's into one file. I used Smartripper to rip the extras and DVD2SVCD to encode into mpeg2 file. But when I try to join them, audio and video go out of sync starting from 2nd file. Is there another method to do this? Should I be encoding the extras in VCD or AVI instead? Should I do them in another format? From reading I understand that all programs have problem with VBR. Should I encode these files in CBR? Would that make a difference? Is it possible to tell DVD2SVCD to include the extras I want as part of the original DVD Rip and include it in the DVD2SVCD conversion?

Thanks

First try ripping with the included rippers. Unless they don't work don't use anything else. This may fix your problem, but I doubt it in this situation.

In the end I believe you are falling victim to a known bug in DVD2AVI that cannot be overcome and still encode as one project.
There is another way though.

Create each as a seperate encode in different directories using the batch mode in DVD2SVCD or just by hand. Select don't create images.
Then either burn with the SVCD template of Nero or use VCDEasy to add chapter etc...

A most excellent and easy solution. I already had the seperate encodes and just brought them into Nero choosing the SVCD template. Turned of compliancy and presto!!! Works like a charm.

Thanks again.:)
