VOBEdit can do it.
Navigation pack->Private Stream 2->DSI Stream->Cell-ID
But if you have a lot of cell to change it can be long because you need to change each navigation pack.

this doesnt work properly, when "create ifo" with IFOEDIT after changing the CELL-ID, the vob file gets 2 cell-id's. and when checking cell-id with DVD2AVI it's still showing the original cell-id.
isn't there any tool for this simple editing??

Sorry for not being able to answer this question - but I just want to add one more voice to the search for being able to change the CellID - While I can change VOBID - I too am looking for a way to modify the CellID and after about a week of searching have come up "empty-handed". If I find an anwer to this I'll pass it on.

If you are familier with HEX-Editors, then changing anything in a VOB stream is a snap. Basically VOBedit is a dedicated HEX editor. First you need to educate yourself on HEX editors, they look at the VOB in its RAW format, simply bytes of data. If you vist MPUcoders website, you can then look up the packet that the CELL-ID is in. So, put simply, load up your VOB in a HEX editor, find SEARCH for the CELL-ID packet and REPLACE ALL with the new Cell-ID Packet. If this doesnt make sense, well, then sorry. Its an advanced topic, happy hunting.

Hi,
Thanks for the input about Hex editors (or disk zappers as we used to call them in the "old days").
The problem with using the hex editor is that the CellID is located at many many locations in the VOB Cell. Even though each of these could be changed individually - it would be a daunting task.
I was hoping that there was a macro that would do it for all - just as VobEdit does it for the VobID.

Ken

I suggested using a HEX editor because it will do it for you AUTOMATICALLY threwout the intire VOB. If you use the 'FIND' and 'REPLACE' feature in a HEX editor. It will change every packet for the Cell-ID. This 'macro' is built in the HEX editor. Check it out, dont kill yourself doing it manually. There are many free Hex editors that have this feature. (Frhed/xVI32). Its just a simple solution for your problem....
