I have some documentaries/movies that are recorded in real media files and they don't play very well.

I wanted to know if someone could recommend what I could change these real media files to so I can use my DVD player to watch them. These are the files I am considering.

A. AC3
B. divX 4.0
C. MPEG
D. VOB
E. AVI

Which recording file is the best?

I also need a program that will let allow me to change the real media files over to the new recording file.

What can you recommend?

Thanks for your help in advance.

DVD Standalones are only capable of playing back MPG1/MPG2, so VCD/SVCD would be the format to choose.I only know of EO Video which is capable of converting RealMedia files (but maybe other programs exist). But in general, they don't have the highest quality (ecetion: RV9, but i haven't seen a vid encoded with this codec), so vcd qould be enough.
