Alright, I recently reencoded deer hunter so it would fit on a single dvd. I have reencoded about 50 dvds previous to this and have only seen a similar problem I am currently having with 1 other dvd (amadeus). Anyways, my problem is the dvd has lines. It almost looks like scan lines, but whenever somebody moves it looks horrible. Bitrate viewer is telling me this movie is interlaced, but I don't know if I can really trust that. Amadeus had the same problem for me except it only occurred about 5secs after each chapter point and only lasted for about 2-3 frames. Deer hunter it happens throughout the entire movie. I thought my source might have been messed up, but I looked over it very closely and it looks fine. Also my reencode looks fine before I do a pulldown on it. After the pulldown is done then the motion artifacts, or whatever you wanna call them, show up. Both of these dvds are NTSC, and Amadeus is R1, but deer hunter is God only knows where from, it was purchased over seas and doesn't have a region encoding. Anyways, if anybody knows how I can fix this problem, your help would be appreciated. BTW i'm using CCE, and Spruceup to reencode and author.
