u have to be more specific.

what exactly did u do, what buttons u pressed, what checks did u make.

subrip never misses any sub u tell it to rip. But u have to instruct it what to do.

I am sure we all can help you.

hi

The movie that iīm trying to rip is Pearl Harbour. The ifo file have 4 subtitles: english, espanol, portuguese and espanol again. When i try to rip the subtitle that i want (portuguese) from the vobs files, the subtitles that subrip gives me are spanish. If i try the english one, subrip gives me the english ones. If i try both spanish, the result is spanish subtitles. I donīt understand how this happens... And this isnīt the first movie that this happens to me...

Do you understand what i mean?

Sorry my english isnīt very good...

thanks in advance

I some times manage to get the greek subs from void entries in the ifo. I mean that if I can't get the subs in the designated position i am starting to rip the rest of them even if they r empty. It allways works.

ie. lets say that u want sub no 8 and turns out to be a different language from the one u want. Try stream 9, 10 etc. u ll find it eventually. There r only 32 entries after all.

ps. dont forget to check the 'show all streams' button in subrip.

oi alexndr... parece que existe mm um portuguęs em qq canto do mundo!!! LOL....

sorry for the portuguese!!!
i had the same problem. i did like oddyseus said, i checked the how all 32 streams, then i selected a stream with no name, and guess what??? it had the portuguese subs!!! the movie name is "blow" (profissão de risco).
I also had the same prob with pootie tang. when i selected the "PT" subs i got some "strange caracters" greek or turkish maybe!!

Guess it's time to rip the subs to get rid of all those vob's!!!

thanks.

Hi. you donīt need to do " trial and error ". Check the main movie ifo ( ex. with Ifoedit ) and identify the number of the sub. you want. Them just select it and you will be fine. ;)

You can use as an alternative, in case of problems, the "Verify" button in SubRip. It scans the checked VOBs for subtitle streams presence.

You can cancel the process at any time and after that are founded streams assigned to language-combobox. This time you'll get info about existing subtitle streams only, i.e. not about what language this stream contain. But it's still better than to scan each of 32 streams separately manually...

I think that the verify process can be cancelled after 1 minute or so. Scanning of the whole VOB is required only for edited vobsubs or VOBs with some subtitles starting e.g. from middle of the DVD.
