Hallo,
i read many many stuf about AP the last week and Iam totaly confused. But that later. My first question is, somebody knows a function/app that read a frame from a vobstream and give back the real size?
I have now 5 Movies that are wrong. No DivXEncoder works ok with them. The most known DVD has the name "Lolita" from Stanley Kubrick. This one is a NTSC Movie and the VOB Stream and the IFO says, that the movie is 720*480 pixel. But that is worng, the movie is 720*576. Yes you are wondering, too? Yes it is a NTSC Movie with a PAL PicSize. And how I say, this movie is not the only one.
Every Tool, like DVD2Avi, DVDx and others press the movie so you get hammerheads. Not nice to show.
So still my question: Is there a way to get the moviesize from a grabbed frame?
OR went my brain wrong, and the movie is real 720*480 and there is a flag that says: Strech to 720*576?
Ol, now to the mystic AP and the ITU BR_R 601. Why a tool like GKnot need that setting? In my mind, the resize of a movie must be works on the magic number 16. So there is allways a wrong aspect ratio in resizing a movie to Divx. So why everyone talks about that?
