I think this will work, anyone tried it?

I only want to split movie as it is too big for dvd5, no stripping or stream processing.

Use DVD Decrypter to sptil the movie into two sections, no stream precessing just select half the chapters then the other half into two seperate folders. After complete rename the vob files correctly, because for some reason DVD Decryptor gives them and unusual vob name, then copy video_ts.ifo from the DVD to the two copy folders, right click and de-select Hidden Archive and Read Only. After that goto disk one folder and load the first VTS_01_0.IFO file hit region free, then get vts sectors, after complete hit vob extras, all i think i need is create new VIDEO_TS and VTS_01_0.IFO, choose a new destination and after that is complete close ifoedit, reload and load the newly created vts_01_0.ifo hit get vts sectors and then burn straight to dvd-r.

Have i missed anything out and more importantly can anyone see why this will not work, and is this method fairly quick because i am not going to do any stripping.

If anyone know of a fast method of jut splitting a dvd9 onto 2 dvd5 with no stream stripping or vob id's.

Any info appreciated:)

If you go to the "guides" section of this web site, there is a guide specifically written to explain how to split a DVD to two DVD+R's.
