Is this an IFOEdit commercial clone ???
Anyone have more info about ?

Steinberg DVD Movie Copy Suite v6.5

DVD Movie Copy - your cinema @ home.

With DVD Movie Copy, you can easily create backup copies of your favorite movies. Simply choose the movie and the language - and off you go. DVD Movie Copy automatically selects the best compression rate, making the movie fit on one single DVD-R. Disc-spanning is of course supported if you want to burn the movie on regular CD-Rs. The high-quality compression algorithms ensure perfect image quality. With DVD Movie Copy, you can also burn photo video CDs and video CDs of your own movie clips.

PS Anyway Derrow don't care of it, we always support your job !! ;)

It's far away from a cloning soft.
It doesn't reach the power of IfoEdit.

This software is the same, that is included in VobInstants DVD burning package v6.5

It just recompresses the video-stream and creates a SVCD compatible disc.
This is far away from cloning DVDs, since the whole DVD functionaly gets lost.

I try it yesterday...It's very shi* software, don't copy anything and only compress one video stream in VCD, SVCD or DVD but not menu and extra.
IFOEdit is more powerful and far away of cloning software as you say.
Thx for answering Derrow.
Good job.

Derrow and what do you think about DVDxCopy from 321 Studios ??

Yea, looks like a nice software.

Except a price of 100$ is ridiculous, when you can get better functionality with IfoEdit for free :D

If somebody get in hand of DVDxCopy, I would be happy to get a copy for testing.

I will be testing it soon (3 betas in 3 days, give me a break!). But, this product is not a replacement for IfoEdit. Not unless you are intimidated by IfoEdit and want a simple 2 click, automated process. And your copies both contain an additional "trailer" informing viewers that this is a fair use copy, and there is digital watermarking added to discourage "releasing". Both deamed necessary to show good faith on the part of 321studios that they are not promoting piracy.
If you want to see how the beta is going, take a look at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/8552
It's a long thread, so go towards the bottom.

Here's an update. Tried DVDXCopy beta right after posting. Although it works for many people, I was not so lucky. I seem to be the only one trying it on a DVD+RW drive, though, so that may be the problem.

Absolutely not, this is controlled by 321studios, with full non-disclosure agreements. In order to participate you had to sign up with them.

You can check the progress at the link I gave above. Last word was Friday there will be a new beta that will "make previous betas look like an early alpha." (Which means, to me, the first true beta, 4 days after the commercial product was supposed to be shipped)

That's very strange for Steinberg, they would rather decode AC3, which requires a license and takes more space, than copy the existing track, which requires no license.
