U have a NTSC movie and u have to set the drop_frame flag.
DVD2AVI reported source as film and u d2v it like one. In this case after the encoding u have a 23.976fps video stream that needs to be telecined to become 29.97fps NTSC interlaced in order to be imported in an authoring programm.
For this task u used pulldown.exe. Just redo the operation adding in the parameters -drop_frame true. Use pulldown.exe 0.99d for this.
U also must check dropframe in the authoring program and in subrip.
There r a lot of guesses here. Just tell me if any of them r correct.

My subs drag, but I never even ran it through DVD2AVI ! I unmuxed it directly because the VOB was small enough.
I ran it through pulldown.exe and it somehow made the video longer ! When i compiled it, it played like it was stuck in 2x fast forward, and the subtitles werre even more wacky.

as I have said before I am from a PAL country so I can only guess what might happen here. When u demuxed from the vobs u had a NTSC 29.97fps interlaced movie, u then applied 3:2 pulldown and ended in a 36fps NTSC interlaced one. I am curious if you can even play it in a standalone.Does your authoring prog accept this video stream?

Hey,
Could you possibly tell me EXACTLY what you did to get your subtitles in synch with DVD Maestro and Pulldown, and exactly what I need to download ??
Thanks,
I really need this.

WHEN YOU DONE YOU WILL GET A .M2V FILE. YOU THEN USE PULLDOWN THERE YOU WILL GET A _pd.M2V FILE.
USE THE _pd.M2V FILE WHEN YOU USE MAESTRO THEN YOU LOAD YOUR SUBTITLE FILE. DO NOT LOAD THE .M2V FILE AND SUBTITLE FILE IT WILL BE OUT OF SYNC. ONLY LOAD _pdM2V THAT YOU GET WITH PULL DOWN AND IT WILL WORK.
