Just got my hands on it. If you're happy with the DVD Authoring feature with 0.94 then you'll be happier with this one. Subpicture and chapters now implemented and so far had no problems. Derrow is the MAN!:D

how does the sub import work? Do you import sst files or something or can ifoedit import them directly from the vobs?

use vobedit 06 to demux the subpicture file (.sup)
then import it, it's that simple

Hendrix:
Can you use it in CCE method for original DVD's Backup?
I mean, If you demux the original VOB file into: *.m2v , ac3 and subtitle streams.
Then re-encode video with CCE or TMPGEnc...
Can you mux these streams again with 095 Pre 1 and add chapters like the original?(including subtitles)

you still can't re-mux the video into the .vobs using m2v files created from programs other than rempeg2 - but you can use the dvd author feature. i always get the wrong time code when using the dvd authoring feature - my guess is that since the .m2v files are 23.976fps and IfoEdit reads at 30fps and assumes that the .m2v file is at the same fps (less frames) thus give an incorrect time, but it still plays fine.
i tried using pulldown.exe then using the DVDAuthoring feature found in IfoEdit but the time code is still incorrect but plays fine.
I just use SpruceUp to author my dvd's and use AviSynth to change anamorphic 16:9s to matted 16:9(4:3letterbox) since SpruceUp only produces 4:3 pictures.

Oke pherhaps derrow can give us some info about the future release :)/updates to come.?
I ripped Conan the barbarian today. The Original disc is 7,85 gb.
Ripped the movie and transcoded i with CCE. Ripped the extra's (was done in about 45 min, extra's was 2,39 gb.
Then i remuxed the transcoded movie back in the original. Did the same with the extra's. The whole ripped DVD is now about 3,85 gb, I only left some additional languages out. The new ripped dvd is GREAT everything is on it!. Except and you can gues, it sucks when playing because the remux doesn't work.
BUT. if there will be a update off ifoedit where you can remux this, i will surly tell you ! there is no better way in recreating the most perfect dvd copy!.
For now.

If it's so important, why not become a beta tester yourself? See http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/ for info on that.

Sorry, I can't tell you yet, when the new version is going to be released.
One big problem I have, I spend all time into this new features, and totaly forgot about the old ones, which resulted now in some bugs for the old features.
So it might take a while, until this new version will go public.

Derrow pherhaps this can be helpfull or not.
If i understand it correct the problem with remuxing a CCE created m2v file is the way CCE handles the GOP structure?. If so, wouldn't it be possible to rip the GOP structure from the original "Main movie" VOBS en remux (or so) the GOP structure back into the CCE created m2v file ?, and the remux the CCE created m2v file back in to the Original "main movie" VOBS using IFOEDIT?.

The key ingredient to a GOP is the sequence of I, P, and B frames. These are all determined by the encoder. So, changing the GOP structure requires re-encoding. If IfoEdit could re-encode, it wouldn't need ReMPEG2, CCE, or TMPGenc.
The trick is ReMPEG2 follows the original GOP exactly. TMPGenc supposedly will too, with a template.
Maybe an explanation is in order. A GOP is a Group Of Pictures. It must start with an I frame, be no more than 15 (PAL) or 18 (NTSC) frames long.

I too have been using 0.95 to authour VOB's and it works great with audio, video and chapters but can't make the subtitles work, I demux the subs using Vobedit0.6 to a .sup file and start to reauthour but get a runtime error when it gets to .98Gb and about to start writing the second VTS file, any suggestion, Hendrix what did you do to get it working with Subs.

I to use VobEdit06 to demux the subs but I never had a runtime error.
You may need to ask derrow.
