mpegdecoder.dll error message

I am operating windows XP and am trying to convert some AVI files to high quality MPEG2 files but each time I try I get the message "Read error occured at address 00F4499B of module "mpegdecoder.dll with 001D8000" What does that mean?

that you should use another way to load your mpegs (mpegdecoder not seems to be bug-free so far).

Isn't MPEGDecoder meant for MPEG-1(VCD) and MPEG-2(SVCD/DVD) files and not for AVI files?

What do you suggest I use to convert avi files ti mpeg-2 files?
I thought DVD2Avi converted TO avi files not FROM them.

If you're loading an AVI file, simply use the AVISource function. See the Avisynth docs for details.
