Can somebody help me solve this problem, plz?

I try to encode a movie (DVDRip@32.976fps) using AviSynth frameserving to CCE-SP 2.64.01.10 and 2.66.01.01.

I set the number of passes to 2. For some reason (unknown to me), both versions of CCE only run one pass. It finished the first pass successfully, but the second pass terminated seconds later with file size of 0. I set up the m2v files as movies-1.m2v and movie-2.m2v. The movies-1.m2v is OK, but movies-2.m2v has zero byte size!!!

Another question in regard to ecl. CCESP 2.66.01.01 does not allow to save the .ecl file. My question is that if I generate a .vaf file with 2-P then shut down CCE, can I still use the .vaf file next time if I want to run more passes because I believe that the more passes the better?

Please help. Any input will be appreciated. Thank you all:) :) :)

Yes, as long as CCE generates vaf file successfully (if you shut down CCE during creating vaf file, it'd become unusable).

try with the two filenames the same, you dont really want two .m2v files anyway ;)

Thanks, Justinus.

Hi auenf,

The reason that I want to two .m2v files is to check if the second pass runs. From what I've got, it's not running.
I am wondering if the memory leak problem, mentioned in other threads, is responsible for this. What do you think?

Although I frameserve with Vdub, I get the exact same thing as you do when audio isn't fed into CCE. If CCE thinks that audio is coming to it, then it should be okay (even if you have it unchecked under the audio settings). You're basically lying to CCE. Youre saying "here's the audio, but you don't need to encode" .I read a guide somewhere where someone encoded a separate a small .wav file just to be safe.
