Hello to all,

My first post and I also send a email to Darrow about this problem.
Recently I decrypted Beverly Hills Cop 1 and Back To The Furure 1.
ReMPEG'ed to movie using ReMPEG 1.5.2.
Movie seems to play very nice but.........
After playing 1:20:00 from Beverly Hills Cop 1 the video 'shakes' for approx 5 mins.
The same happens with Back To The Future 1 but the after 10 mins. of playing.
As I understand this happens because there is a 2 sec. black screen before the movie starts to play.
It's at the beginning from the first .VOB file.
Well, as I understand reading some posts, ReMPEG 1.5.2. takes a sample from this first 2 sec. and decode/encode the whole movie with it.
However, after these 2 sec. the resolution/bitrate or whatever is diffrent and the process doesn't encode/decode that well.
Problems keep occuring as I decribed above.
I don't know how to solve this, and wrote Darrow about it.
If there is a solution, can someone please explain to me me in very, very, simple steps how to correct this problem ?
Or do I have to wait until a better version of ReMPEG is out ?
Also read that ReMPEG 1.5.2 doesn't handle 16:9 movies very well, and the problem I described above only happens with full wide screen 16:9 dvd movies.
Don't know if this is true my tech. knowlege doesn't go that far.
I truly hope I described to problem correctly and forgive me for typo's or bad formulation since English is not my native tonque.
Give my best greetz and regards to all members,

Kenwood

P.s. Settings in ReMPEG (The Movie's are Full Widescreen DVD - PAL)
- Scale Factor 90%
- Limit Max. Bitrate NOT Ticked
- Bit allocation adjustment: 110/100 & 100 %
- Output resolution: 720x576
- Frame Mode: Match source
- Search Technique: Prediction
- Half pel: Ticked
- Brightness: 0
- Preformance: Interger DCT (faster)
- Calculate PSNR: Ticked
- Show RC Info: Not Ticked
- Use ISSE: Ticked
Also, used this settings to ReMPEG the movie Shaft and the result was great -> no problems with the video.

Hello to all,

Been very busy today to figure out how I could decode/encode the first .vob from Back To The Future 1 properly.
I am amazed that no one had reacted on my posting or has similar experices, not even one of the Moderators.
Before I give up I will give it one more try with a reply on my own posting.
Is there really no-one ???
Big cry for help here !!!
Give you all my best regards and greetz,
Just got a email from Darrow:

Yep, I will look at it, and report you a solution.
I just moved right now to a new flat, so I'm still
busy with moving things.

I'll check out the prob later though.

Derrow

Hopefully he can offer a solution.

My last post on this forum.
Have a solution -> cut away the first 2 sec. black screen.
You can use XP Chopper 2.1 for this.
Best regards,

Kenwood
