Just finished re-compiling some vobs, and have a strange problem...

I have re-encoded my video using VFAPI and CCE, and have a PERFECT m2v file which is completely awesome quality (rempeg and tmpgenc now consigned to the bottom draw)...

Anyway, after remuxing with ifo edit the Video and DTS soundtrack only, after a few minutes the whole film goes flick screen...

The remuxing appeared to go fine, and the pc was untouched whilst it was all happening.. why would this be???

Anyone any ideas?

The PC should not be an issue (3.0ghz P4 Phase Change Cooled 1gb ram 150gb Raid 0 Drive) All PCI devices running in spec and the m2v file re-encoded perfectly...

The CCE output was generated by 1pass VBR then editing individual gop bit rates to eliminate "grey" areas with another multiple pass VBR..

(only took 2hours 20mins for 1hour 45minute film both passes :D)

Thanks In Advance

Mark

You have to use PULLDOWN.EXE before authoring, that's one of the problems with CCE...

This is a pal dvd not ntsc....

do I still need pulldown?

No, maybe the Authoring option in new Ifoedit is not working for PAL movies...

well now I have managed to remux a film using either tempgenc and ifoedit remux or authoring with ifoedit from the streams...

Problem with authoring is you lose all the chapter settings so guess its tmpgenc for future...
