IFOedit playback problem WINDTALKERS

Hello, when I select a VTS file from the movie WINDTALKERS and hit "DVD play", a blue screen comes up saying "this player is incompatible with the region marking of this disc". I don't understand why this is happening. It is a region 1 disc and smartripper made it "region free" anyway. I am doing this the same way I have done dozens of DVDs already, what makes this one so different? Can anyone shed some light on this and how I may fix it?

It's called RCE (Region Code Enhanced), and there are many threads about how to remove it, including the sticky threads.
