Doom9 really needs to mention this in the guides if he's going to have CCE in the downloads section. It seems that every person has wasted several hours the first time they encode something because the CCE installer doesn't say anywhere that it is just a trial and that it will add a watermark.

I think it's rather presumptuous of anyone to think that they're going to get a $2000 piece of software for FREE! The guides are just as accurate regardless of whether you use a trial or full version of CCE. It is not the function of this site to provide people with illegal copies of software.

from the software page: MPEG1/2 Encoders (show me more)
bbMPEG 1.24b18 - latest beta, free MPEG-1/2 encoder
CCE SP 2.50 - demo version: displays a logo on each encoded file.
TMPGEnc 2.57 - note: MPEG-2 support expires after 30 days unless you live in the future ;)
TMPGenc 2.57 VFP plugin - needed to export TMPG Projects
and taken from a random guide that describes how to use cce: You'll need the following software for this guide:
DVD2SVCD 1.0.9b3
CCE SP - NOTE: Demo version, displays a logo on every encoded video. You can buy the full version (without that logo) online. Homepage
or TMPG
A Cue/Bin capable burning program: CDRWin, FireBurner or Nero
You're not the first one to suggest such a note and in fact I've included that note a long time ago. Maybe I forgot to put it in some documents but I'm pretty sure that it's included in the majority of all documents on my site which describe the use of CCE.
@edit: I just checked the "getting the best out of cce" guide and there I forgot to put that note. Other than that it should be everywhere.. I checked all the SVCD guides and the use of CCE is only described in one guide in the DVD-R section.

Ahh ... Well, the "Getting the best out of CCE" guide was the one I had looked at.
@Trilight
It doesn't say anywhere that CCE is a $2000 program. Also, I certainly wasn't implying that this is a mistake on Doom9's part. It's easy for people to miss the fact that it's trial software, though, because the installer doesn't say it anywhere that I saw. We've seen these threads a number of times, and the initial poster is always confused because they didn't know it was a trial.
I did the same thing when I learned CCE, but I didn't have to start a thread like this ... I just did a search and there were already a couple threads asking the same thing.

well, it has a link to cinemacraft.com, which has a purchase page (http://www.cinemacraft.com/eng/purchase.html) which links to visible light which says $1950 (http://63.79.142.57/mall/products/cinemacraft/CCESP.asp)
altho thats a little bit out of the way, but its there.
(you probably missed the link to cinemacraft.com cause Doom9 forgot it on the guide you were using, so dont think im being too serious with this post, and yes im pretty sure doom9 doesnt mention the price in his downloads/guides, maybe in the news archive somewhere, but noone is going to go searching in there just for a price ;)
