sub2sami error message? help please!

im using sub2sami to convert the sub file to sami (this is the only way i know how) so i can have a non perm sub in wmp.
I just updated my pc and formated with winxp. now i get an error when i try and load sub2 sami:

Failed to load control 'commondialog' from COMDLG32.OCX. Your version of COMDLG32.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.

I have no idea were to get this updated. is there another way to get a smi file? i am prepared to re-rip the sibtitles to get a smi file! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I think SubResync (from VobSub package) have sami output. Try it.

And there is much better way how to view subtitles in WMP - using filter from VobSub: Install VobSub, place the .sub file in your movie dir, rename the "xxx".sub to "your movie".sub and just play you movie using WMP. Now you get perfectly looking subtitles with bebefit to see them on TV-Out too.
