If this has already been answered somewhere else, just point me in the right direction.

I really enjoy using IfoEdit. It has really revolutionized the way people backup their DVDs.

Is there a simple way to use IfoEdit or VobEdit to attach the special features or other VOBs at the end of a movie?

I have tried to do this by demuxing the last VOB of the movie into VOB IDs or Cells and then add the extra material to the last VOB with VobEdit. Once everything is together I run the 'correct VOB Navigation pointers and the correct IFO tables'. Unfortunately the additional material is not identified or updated in the tables.

I also tried doing this with the creation of new IFOs. Did not work.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I also have the same idea on doing this but for love nor money it not workin. I have a movie that has been transcoded and put back in with the original menu, it plays fine so no probs there. I got two movie trailers that i want to put onto the disc but i cannot get them linked in properly. The disc structure is as follows:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_03_1.VOB
VTS_03_0.BUP
VTS_03_0.IFO
VTS_03_1.VOB

VTS 1 is the movie
VTS 2 is the 1st trailer
VTS 3 is the 2nd trailer

The dvd plays the following way:
Menu, press play, movie starts, disc stops at end of movie

Reading other posts i learnt how to alter first play to get original menu, then found the way of changing the direction from pressing play, so now dvd will play as follows:
Menu, press play, trailer 1 starts, disc stops

This also obviously is the same when i changed link to play other trailer.

Opened up VTS_03_0.IFO and went to VTS_PGCITI/VTS_PGC_1/PGC Command Table/Post Command and tried to get it to jump to another titleset but no luck, illegal nav error, so came back to forum. Looked about and saw that it not possible to jump lke that. I tried other commands available but none of them produce desired effect. I racking my brains on this one.
So in essence what i after is this, I want Menu to come up first then go to one of trailers, then the other and then to the movie and then back to the menu. I heard something about dummy PGCs but not a good explanation on exactly how to do it.

Right click mouse to add Post Command:

[Jump_TT] jump to Title
Title Nr 1

Not
[JumpVTS_TT]

Sigh. I requested the mods to lock what i said before on a post b/c so many ask these questions.

You are correct in going to VTS_PGCITI then VTS_PGC_X......

what you should do is go to VTS_PGC_X and see where it points to (it should have a "CallSSVMGM" (example) and it will point to CALL VMG PGC "X" (X=a number).

Now go to VIDEO_TS.ifo and open VMGM_PGCITI_UT.

Double click and you'll see a list of PGC-menus.

Go to PGC-menu "X" If it's 5 then go to PGC-menu 5 and change the post command to point to where you want to point to and it should work.

Now.....if anyone else asks this question. Plz help me out and answer for them.

Tried doin that but to no avail. Always comes back with illegal nav. I putting it down to the way the original is written (It Star Wars) and that it not possible. Il try adding them to another Dvd and see if that works. Thanks for helping tho

Another question tho, if there is no CALL command is there any way of putting one in. I think this is were my problem lies, in that i trying to JUMP rather than CALL.

Is it possible to add the trailers or other VOBs to a DVD that has been backed up with IfoEdit? I am talking about simple movie rips. No menu or other things.

This method does work i just tried it. Not the way i wanted to do it but it works for the way you want. Just make sure you use join clips and not join cell/vobs to create the correct Vob IDs before you rejoin the cells

thanks for the tip.

I did not know the difference between joining clips vs vobs in VOBEDIT. Thanks I will try it.
