Is there some sort of guide for multipass settings?

I have managed to use CCE with single pass, no problem but when I try to use a 3pass it is very hitty missy If I get the correct output size,it is either 2.5 gig or 4.5 gig what I want is something about 3.8 gig.I have seen calculators for single pass, but is there their some sort of calculator or guide for a multipass?

When you go into the VBR settings you will see an estimate of the file size. Follow the guide.
