hey there,
I'vejust got my dvd burner and I've successfully managed for now as I'm getting used to it, to convert 2 of my CVD or SVCD films onto a single dvd-r disc.
However, a lot of my cvd's have a secondary audio commentary track, and I'd like that to go on too.
the process I have been taking for now, from the guides, is to:-
1. read over the mpeg2 file over to hd from the cd,
2. do a simple demultiplex of the svcd file to a .mpv and .mpa file
3. rename the .mpa file to .mp2
4. apply patch to trick the header for authoring (if SVCD only)
5. make sure that both the files are named together similarly
(eg...monstersinc.m2v and monstersinc.mp2)
6. created basic menu in spruceup, and added the m2v file, with it
auto adding the named mp2 file for me.
7. create then burn
so if I somehow manage to deplex both mp2 streams to seperate files, then how do I add them in spruceup? as of course the files wont be the same name on the hd, and also to make them selectable?
One last thing...... when starting in SpruceUP it asks me to choose if I want a PAL/NTSC, and 4:3 or 19:9 dvd....... my films when I've ripped or converted them to CVD are in widescreen, but in dvd2svcd have set them to encode at 4:3 always so that when they play on widescreen tv I dont get any letterboxing and pic looks better and the correct aspect ratio....does this mean I choose 16:9 for it on my tv, or do I choose the 4:3???? oh and can I mix pal with ntsc movies?
please help,
thanks,
Tuck
