I have tried various ways to get a movie to play without freezing but it proving difficult. A little trick i learning at the moment is if i have a film that freezes i rip it back to the HDD (This can take anything form an hour to all night) and rip it apart with vobedit into its cell IDs. Then i put it all back together again which produces new vobs but with a close look a slight change in file sizes (most often smaller by a few Mb. Then i create new ifos with ifoedit and then run a strip (but i keep everything) and correct on it to produce the final vobs i want, bring over the menu etc i left in original ripping folder and do the vts sectors. Then i burn it back to disc and it can play without freezing. Now i using same media (Trax) and same software to burn (Vob) so does anyone know how this can affect a once dodgy film to a now good quality one.
