hmmmmmm, trying to convert/merge some svcd mpegs to divx/vbr mp3 movies.
Following the guide as available from doom9, i.e. 1)extract the sound with dvd2avi, 2)convert the resulting mp2 into wav with winamp, 3)convert the resulting wav with lame into vbrmp3.
Always using the latest releases.
Here are the times:
source svcd mpeg 51:32
divx 5.0.2 avi 51:33 (that is probably ok)
mp2 with dvd2avi 51:33 (perfect!)
wav with winamp 51:28 (hmmmmm, both with version2 and 3)
mp3 with lame 53:53
??????????????????????????????????
I am not sure whether I can use just the original mp2 for the divx avi.
Any useful hints are gratefully appreciated.
