Can anyone help me please

I have tried many rippers and i havnt found 1 that can convert a VOB to mini DV or even uncompressed avi although some suggest that they can do the later but dont.

Im at a loss

I know I can just record it from my player onto tape but Im tranferring NTSC to PAL also to make it worse

any suggestions

I think the best way to do it would be to rip the DVD content, create an DVD2AVI project (like you would be ripping the DVD, although in a since you are), create an AVISynth frameserver, open the frameserver in VirtualDub, direct stream copy it (uncompressed AVI), open it in your DV editing software, and export it to tape. It's lengthy, but it's a 100% surefire way to do it. If there's a shortcut, I'd like to hear it as well.

the problem is that there isnt many vfw DV codecs around, so it might be best to frameserv to Premiere 6 and export a DV AVI from there which will be a DirectShow compliant AVI
