well i gotta problem.:(i was ripping a movie and it should have been ripped to fit on 3 cds.the movie was 122 mins and like 9 seconds so i had the bitrate set for 123 mins and to use 3 discs.well i finally got finished and it ended up cutting it into only two parts.is there anything i can do to be able to have it in the three parts like it should have been without reencoding the movie?:confused:i wanted to make it into three parts cause the bitrate was kinda low with it only made to fit on 2 cds.can i just do a recovery and start from pulldown and just change the bitrate to like 126 and see if that cuts it,or do i have to start all over?

no you have to do the encoding all over...once the conversion is done you can't recode it to a higher bitrate (well you could but it would decrease your quality and just take up more room)...if you have any questions on how to set it up for 3 cd's instead of 2 consult the great guides of doom9.org :)

2 things:
First, don't change the max length column of the bitrate tab if you just want to force the movie onto a certain # of cds. Instead, change the # of cds column to all 3s (or however many discs you want). Much easier that way, and prevents redundancy if you enter values improperly in the length column.
Second, you broke both parts of this forum rule:
9) Use a title that describes the content of your post. Don't use all caps or special characters to draw attention.
Don't do that again, or I'll have to strike you.

i know i didnt use the best title to describe my post but i was kinda tired when i made it so i wasnt really thinking straight.as for the other part of the rule you said i broke,i didnt use any caps and only 1 special character which i dont think was out of line.also shouldnt you want attention drawed to your post so you can get help asap(just some thoughts .:))ok now im rambling so im gonna stop.
anywayz back to the problem at hand.i have always just changed the max lenght column instead of the cd column and it never happend befor.i guess i will try that from now on though so i dont have that problem again.

Post your log (another broken rule), so we can have a look at your settings and the movie. Maybe the movie is shorter than the information in the IFO say, this sometimes happens.
