Dear all
I'm a total newbie so , take it as it is.
I've ripped a dvd with dvd decrypter and had the vob files. I used dvd2svcd to put it on a svcd with 2 languages and 2 subtitles
After burning the 2 files .bin and .cue with fireburn I have the 2 cd.
The image is perfect, I have the 2 languages but no subtitles at all and the audio is stereo and not dolby surround
My dvd player is a Mustek 560
What I did wrong?

thanks a lot for your help you're a great help to me

Did you check if your DVD player supports selectable subtitles?
Did you read the FAQ?
If you did, why didn't you post your log?

Apparently it seems that my player can only read cvd subtitles, so I'll try.
But regarding the audio, how do I have to set up the audio in dvd2svcd to have dolby surround sound? Stereo or joint stereo ?
Thanks

Just use plain Stereo. Joint Stereo screws up the surround information (a bit).

Edit: Also do NOT use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD, you're only asking for trouble if you do. Use DVD2SVCD's internal routines. If that fails, then use the included vStrip routines. Only in rare cases will both of these fail.

acually Dolby Surround aka Pro Logic is encoded in the normal stereo sound so a SVCD with stereo sound DOES contain Dolby Surround / Pro Logic which every surround system can decode. It is not the same as 5.1 thats true...
