Hi all,

I think I remember reading guides for other encoders such as flask etc, that said to use the iDCT reference option, as this was the best quality....should I use this or the 32bit or 64 bit option? I'm after the best picture quality, not speed, since my computer is slow anyways ;)

Cheers,
Josh

Hello...

I am not able to seen any differences in picture quality. But maybe others are. Theoreticaly Reference brings the best quality followed by 64 bit then by 32 bit. Recently I have been using 64-bit SSE2 (mpegdec2.dll idct=5). Advantages in using Reference iDCT are useless since mpeg4 codec performs DCT and quantize the results.

btw.. That problem has been discussed already (use search button)
