Has anyone had a chance to try this new encoder? It seems really fast and great quality with lots of options. Maybe a candicate to add in the next release of DVD2SVCD? Check it out;

Certainly something to look into. I'll try it out and do a few tests, some others should as well. If all proves well, I think it would be a great addition to the next version of D2S. If the quality is all they say it is, then many users will be equally glad at the relatively small $149 price tag.

Any thoughts on supporting this encoder DVD2SVCD?

vcdhelp.com (http://www.vcdhelp.com) read the news Sep 27th entitled "Panasonic MPEG2 Encoder out"...there's links to a full review of the new encoders.
btw I just bought that new sony dvd burner...I will not stop using dvd2svcd at all. Still be making svcds till the day I die.

I was so tempted to get that Sony DVD burner last weekend when it was $250 shipped at Dell.
I just bought a new projector so I couldn't justify it.

I downloaded the MainConcept MPEG Encoder 1.1 StandAlone Demo. It is FAST, and the quality seems pretty good!

hi guys,:D

any one tried the canopus procoder yet?
at highest quality it looks just fantastic...maybe better than cce??
i did a encoding (unbreakable for dvd-r) with highest quality and 2 pass it took about 6 hours ,the result quality i haven`t seen before(somethin more cler as cce,but not like the sharpen filter does..)

im thinking about to switch (only dvd--->dvd-r(svcd) conversions)from
cce to procoder permanently..

what do you think about this encoder
