Can anyone recommend a specific DVD standalone from the UK market that will play everything including MP3s etc, DTS etc., and is RCE-savvy as well as multiregion and macrovision free (or hackable)?

I was looking at Scan.co.uk's SC2500 player - can anyone advise me on this, or something better?

I don't want to spend any more than £150, and it does not have to be a big brand name.

Cheers!

I bought one of the earlier Scan boxes and was disappointed. It couldn't handle VCDs particularly well - many would be rejected, or would have audo desynch.

I recommend the Cyberhome ADL528. I bought one for some friends of mine for Christmas, and it seems to play everything you throw at it. I think it has all of the features you're looking for (but check anyway, cus my memory is poor!). You wouldn't have to pay more than £100 for it. Try Richer Sounds.

Scan 2000
Logix 3000

and the others in my signature.

Read my report and there is a link to English language discussion group about these players.
