Once you gain some experience, then you can try altering the methodologies presented. For instance, I would use DVD2SVCD to make VCDs, however the guide for that tool shows the creation of SVCDs, not VCDs. Creating VCD's requires altering some of the steps. And you seem to need a step-by-step guide.
