Hay there ...
I asked you about playing movies without picture choping, and no asinhronisation of sound. I found no answer.
But, there is just one thing ...
Movies with big resolution (for example 720x..., or something, like)
CAN'T play normaly on mu comp. (AMD 450,64RAM,Matrox Mill.G200), but smaller resolution PLAY JUST FINE !!!
So, can I make some cheat for this thing ?
Can I, somehow make the resolution smaller than original, with some program? Something like the movie of 720x250 put in 420x100 resolution ...or something ...
You know ... To apply 'make image/film size 60% of original' ...
Is there any program for that ?
Thanks ...

You'll have to recompress using VirtualDub if you want a smaller resolution.

In some cases, with some video cards, you may get better results if you set your display resolution smaller, for example, 800x600x24 or 800x600x32. Also, you use less CPU if you turn off *all* DivX post-processing options, which take CPU power.
(Start...Programs...DivX...Divx (Pro) Codec...Decoder Configuration)
You might also try a different .avi player, to see if it makes a difference. I happen to like BSPlayer.

@MarNED:
Because you are new here I will make this a warning only. Cross posting is not allowed, please read the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) to catch up. I closed your thread in the DivX3 section.
As for your problem, the only advise I can give besides what DJ Bobo and jggimi have already mentioned is to try the ffdshow (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Filters/ffdshow-20020923.exe) filter. It's decoding is a bit less cpu intensive that DivX5's own decoder, although if you're asking about DivX3 vids also then ffdshow will not help you.

Thanks all ...
Nothing helps me so far. i want to try with the Virt.Dub
I downloaded the Virtual Dub
And HOW can I lower the resolution?
I found some help there:·
------------------------
Use the Filters option under the Video menu.
· Click ‘Add’ to add a filter to the list.
· Select 2:1 reduce or 2:1 reduce (high quality) if you want to resize a file to quarter-size (half the width and half the height). Otherwise, choose the regular resize filter. Click OK.
-------------------------
What then?! How to make the movie with that change?
How much is that long?

My my, you seem to be a very very newbie!
Well, here we go:
1) open the AVI file in VD.
2) audio -> direct stream copy
3) video -> full processing mode
4) video -> filters -> add -> resize -> choose the resolution you want and the resizing mode (precise bilinear if you're in a hurry, precise bicubic if you want sharper image)
5) video -> compression -> choose the codec you want. For example DivX 5.02. If the size doesn't matter and you're in a hurry, choose quality based 100%, if the size matters, choose the right bitrate.
6) file -> save as avi
7) wait! (after a few seconds, VD will tell you how much it will take)
8) ready! :D
