I've captured a mpeg2-video with PowerVCR II with length of 48 minutes. I tried to convert it to DivX using DVD2AVI. Audio-output has correct length (48 minutes, mpa, delay 156ms).
Video-output (Save as Project; converted with VFAPI) has only a length of 34 minutes and playes to fast.
I tried to slow down samplerate from 29.970 to 21.787 to match each length, but even this wasn't successful (audio was completly out of sync).
How can I enable DVD2AVI to convert video in correct lenght?

I have the same problem as you. I can load the d2v file into TMPG and it works just fine and the output is as desired. but when I try and use VFAPI and create an avi file. the file plays fast, and when I encode with CCE the output is fast.

I am following the guide found here http://www.doom9.org/mpg/cce-advanced.htm
and basically using it to downsample the captured mpeg2 file from 8Mbps to around 2Mbps (or svcd instead of DVD).

Like I said, TMPG works just fine with the d2v file but my prefered encoder is CCE

I know that encoding from MPEG to MPEG is no problem, but I want to encode MPEG to DivX.
There's no difference if I use the d2v-file or the avi-file created by VFAPI. It always plays to fast.
Other usable encoders (XMPEG, FlaskMPEG) are stopping after the first seconds of encoding process and hang.
