The error:
"No CDROM recording device was found on the SCSI or IDE bus!"

I got this error when I try to burn the cue/bin file produced by dvd2svcd with cdrwin. I install the aspi and that's not it. I tried fireburner and it give the same error that there is no cdrom recording device.

I am using sony laptop with easycd creater 5 platinum updated with ecdc_v5_3_1_154_plt_enu. The error is so weird because my cdwriter work fine with easycd creater. But the problem is other cd burning software like cdrwin, and fireburner won't see the drive.

I can write the same cue/bin file in my desktop computer with hp9300+ cdwriter. I don't know why cdrwin or fireburner don't see the cdwriter in my laptop. I check the drivers and there is no error and working fine. My driver is "sony i.link cd-rw dvd-rom iee 1394 sbp2 device driver" and some from easycd creater. Anybody has any idea why some software found and other don't for same hardware?

thanks.

Maybe your CD-key you entered for cdrwin / fireburner is wrong, ring / email them for a updated key etc! or try buying nero its pretty cool , you can get a 30days evaluation copy off the web site: http://www.nero.com

i got a feeling nero will work for you :D
