Cartoon Run-time Cleanup

Hi,

Could someone please give me some advice on run-time filters to help cleanup the noise found in cartoons? I've downloaded a number of Southpark and Simpsons episodes however they all show awful noise and macro blocking (is that the correct term?).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No filters can be used during playback that I know of (although Avisynth as a playback decoder is in its experimental stages). The only thing you can try for now is post-processing.

Take a look at the ffdshow decoder for good post-processing and a few other options.
