i want the best way to encode a mini dvd into 3 cdr without having to merge and split.i have tested splitting by using dvd2avi and setting the range option.this method usually gives a big audio offset on second and third range but i suspect this is because it does not split at cell id.if i use trial and error to get 2,3 split on the begining of a cell id i don't get the big audio offset.has anyone used this method and will it be reliable/compliant for minidvd?

u dont have a problem. I am assuming that you sync the audio to video in your authoring programm.

But, if I were u, I would use the offset features in Scenarist or Maestro to image just the parts I wanted. In this case I wouldnt bother about offsetting the subs or audio.
