This thread is about playing an avi file with 2 Audio in it!
I will compare software players in the way they handle 2 audio in avi files.
I have Win XP (Greek version), i use gnot for my encode and vobsub for the subtitles!
The problems began when I tried to use 2 Audio in a movie: an AC3
as 1st audio and a (VBR)mp3 @ 82 kbps as 2nd audio.
1. First I try it in WMP 7.1! It played only the (VBR)mp3 because I didn't had the correct audiofilters (Morgan)to play AC3 audio, so i download them from http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Filters/audiofilters.zip !!!
Then WMP 7.1 failed to play the 2nd audio correctly (video and audio was going too fast), but the 1st was playing perfectly! The only solution I could find in order to play the 2nd A was to uninstall the audiofilters!
2. Then I try it at WMP 6.4 and I had the same results!
3. The last WMP I tried was WMP 9 Beta. It was the worster of all!!!
It didn't play the movie at all! It did play a movie with 1 AC3 audio
so the problem is propably in the 2 different types of audio in the same movie.
3. Lastly I tried BSPlayer 0.85:D http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Players/bsplay085.486.zip
Wich played perfectly both audio AC3 and (VBR)mp3. The problems began when I installed VobSub 2.18 (I previously used 2.14).
BSP failed even to open the file and actually any file with the vobsub subtitle files in the same directory as the movie. The same with VobSub 2.16! So I load again VobSub 2.14 (I couldn't find it on the net so I used gnot update 0.26:
http://gknot.doom9.org/Software/GordianKnot.0.26.Update.exe
and by unchecking all the other programs except VobSub 2.4 I install it!)
:sly: So the winner is: BSPlayer 0.85 with VobSub 2.14 :p
Plz if you tried other players with 2 audio movies or if you have some questions about my thread write a post!!!
Also if someone know from where to download VobSub 2.14 let me know!
Anythink about that matter will be interesting!
Thanks and forgive my long thread!
