Hi. I'm cloning a DVD menu with DVD Maestro, and i have a problem.
I have made animated menus with m2v and ac3 files extracted from vob's with Vobrator and bmp files for subpictures extracted with subrip.
With the DVDMaestro preview, it WORKS FINE, all menus, loop, subpictures, buttons, jumps, works fine. But after compilation, with PowerDVD and my DVD Pionner 525, it DOESN'T WORK. Some buttons doesn't jump to the correct submenu, and another hangs then player.
¿What is wrong?. I thing that the authory is fine, because it works in preview mode, and maestro compile with no error messages.
But after this.....fuck!!!.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my English.

I don't know if this will help.

Under the playback control tab make sure that the 'End state' isn't set to still.

I only think that I remember this as a solution as it was a while ago that I had a similar problem but it won't hurt to try :D

No, it's not the problem, i have "loop" selected in animated menus, and "Still" in static menus.
I have begun with Scenarist, but is more complex and tedious.
I think the problem is in the source videos used to make the menus.
Is Vobrator the right tool? ummmm...i'm suspecting....
Is there any other program i could use to extract all the animated menus from the vob's?

Anther thing you could try is using DVD2AVI & re encoding your menus if Vobrator isn't giving you working animated menus.
(I use VFAPIConv & CCE with GOP sequence M=3 N/M=4 and Maestro doen't complain.)

This method has come in handy for me when I only need part of a VOB ID to make a menu and has given me good results.

I do seem to remember a similar problem and I'll be damned if I can remember what I actually did to fix it. (it might have been problems with Vobrator's m2v output  )

I would definately recommend sussing this small problem with Maestro if you can because I end up with a headache every time I look at Scenarist :scared: )

Yes, I had Headache too using Scenarist.
:D :D :D

I will try to reencode the vobs and cut the result for obtain the differents stream for menus. But i think, the problems will come with the ac3 and m2v multiplexing, cutting, and demultiplexing.
I will tell my results....someday.....(i'm very busy now with my work...)

Thanks for your interest...

A simple way to do this is to use the slider at the bottom of the DVD2AVI window to select the clip that you want for your menu and then as long as audio is set to demux all tracks just save project and bob's your uncle.

You should get a d2v file as well as an audio file which hopefully will only contain the clip you need.

Just encode the d2v via VFAPI & CCE and then you should be able to import both the mpv & audio into Maestro without any trouble.

Yes, good idea. I was thinking on re-encode all the vob and cut all menus, but your idea is better.

Thanks a lot.
