yep. dvd-r against dvd+r.. but it's not the point.
Best score is a 90% compatibility, and average is about 70%.
When browsing this forum, we more believe it's something around 30% !
before launching 8X dvd-r, it would be nice to spread reliable 1X technology. ah.... Marketing, Marketing...
Anyway, brothers, we are not crazy ! there are really compatibility issues :-)

Would have been nice if they had separated it into years of manufacture...so we could see what percentage of DVD players after 2000 or 2001 will play DVD-R's or DVD+R's!
I bet it would be a lot higher than 70%

This wouldn't make that test any better:
They must give separate numbers for different dvd±r(w) media manufacturers. It's quite obvious that bulkcrap, cmc, princo or the such have a much lower compatibility than verbatim or tdk.
has anyone realized that both tests were done by the same company, with really different results?
