Can't play Xvid when elecard mpeg2 is installed?

I can't play xvid files if i have the xvid codec and the elecard mpeg2 codec installed on the same machine. Anyone else having this problem or know how i can fix it? Is there another mpeg2 codec I can try? I know i can always use powerdvd or something to play mpeg2 files but i'd rather have everything play in wmp.

Do you have ffdshow installed? Do you get an error message?

i think i had this problem. It installs windivx.ax I think. This then tries to run your divx movies. Unfortunately it can't ! Try unregistering that file.

Sure, it's because the Elecard mpeg2 codec install windivx.ax,
just un-install that filter.
