If you ever feel the need to load XviD's configuration screen without loading up VDub, you can run the command line:
rundll32 xvid.dll,Configure
Might be helpful to add a shortcut.

Good tip :)
Sometimes, after a encode test, i forgot what settings i have used, and have to open Vdub, go to video, compress... (you know the drill), to confirm that i used mpeg and not h.263 :D

Shouldn't xvid have a settings log to tell you what settings you used for what movie? dvd2avi has this etc ...just thought this would be a good idea.

...and it would be great to have an quick access(shortcut) to configuration of the decoder (postprocessing, etc..) like ffdshow has in menú. No to use de shortcuts of the player
But it's only an idea
