Is there a way to convert VobSub (.sub/.idx files) subtitles to Subrip (.srt files) subtitles?

Yes, there is. Use SubRip and open the VobSub .sub file for processing via OCR. BTW, do you ever use "search" button or read Doom9's guides? Also, you could well post this question to the "subtitles" board!?

You can also use the SubResync that comes with the VobSub package it has its own Semi-OCR system.
