Well, I think pretty well everything I've read online has said that the TI4200 is the way to go. Not only is it VERY reasonably priced and very overclockable it kicks the crap out of Radeon 9000 in every benchmark. Radeon 9000 was really designed to compete with the Geforce 4 mx series so it shouldn't compete. Now I HAVEN"T read much about the capture quality on the geforce TI4200....but that is DEFINITELY what I am planning on for my next videocard.

yeah my only concern was the full DirectX9 support that the 9000 pro offers whereas the Ti doesnt, but not sure how much of an impact that will make. Thanks

The 9000/Pro series does NOT support DX9 but it does DX8.

Another advantage of the 9000 series is that some cards come with passive cooling, which is very cool :)

Keep into account that ATi is exausting the supplyes of 8500, now they are selling original built by ATi retail 8500 boards (275/550 MHz DDR) at incredible prices!

110-130 €uros in Italy!!!

Edit: they are 64 Mb boards, but are mooore powerful than 9000 series ;) I have one bought 119 € :D:D
