Welcome to the forum.

If you have a Dolby Digital soundcard in your PC, or the proper audio filters installed, you can mux the two together using Nandub. This guide (http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm#mp3mux) shows you how to mux together .avi video with .mp3 audio; the same procedure is used to mux together .avi video and .ac3 audio. It is a collection of procedures, make sure you start at Multiplexing AVI and MP3.

Have you taken a look at some of Doom9's guides for converting DVDs to .avi format, yet? One of the most popular codecs today is DivX 5. There are encoding suites available here that can help you create fabulous .avi files from DVD, and that use DVD2AVI projects. Start here (http://www.doom9.org/divx-encoding.htm) if you haven't yet looked into DivX.

I've done Panic Room with DVD2AVI but forced film to .d2v and .wav files. Then I use TMPGEnc to convert and burnt to VCD. http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm Damn good quality by using KVCD template http://www.kvcd.net/dvd-models.html And suprisingly the file was so small that I could fit it on one CD-RW unlike typical movies that I need two discs.
