View Full Version : Can't install Canopus DV codec

I wanted to try the Canopus DV codec again (which I had previously installed, used then removed). So I removed the Mainconcept codec but can't get either Tsunami Codec Pack to install either of the 2 Canopus codecs (DVSD or CDVC). I select them, singly or together, then press Next and it seems to be installing them but they don't show up in either Virtual Dub or the video codec section of Multimedia (in Control Panel).

Then I tried installing the Canopus Procoder program (after removing Mainconcept codec) and same thing - no Canopus codecs going in.

Could this be a registry problem? Something preventing them from being registered.

I have W98SE.

Try this:

ftp://www.canopus.com/pub/drivers/dvcodec.exe

Thanks for the tip but somehow it finally installed, although I don't know why.

Believe me, I rebooted and rebooted. It's something you get used to doing with Win 98SE...
